George Romero reads "Diary of the Dead"

Variety reports that George Romero will write and direct "Diary of the Dead," a project he'll work on after "Solitary Isle."

The horror movie will tell of a group of young film students who encounter real-life zombies while filming a short film in the woods.

Production will be on October 11th.
