Vincent Cassel making "Eastern Promises"

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Vincent Cassel will co-star in "Eastern Promises" alongside Naomi Watts for David Cronenberg. Focus Features is handling distribution of the project.

The thriller set in London will tell of a nurse who investigates the identity of a young Russian prostitute during childbirth. She unknowingly stumbles upon a Russian police operation and a prostitution ring involving the Russian mafia.
