The TV comedy power house of Steve Carell ("The Office") and Tina Fey ("30 Rock") are teaming up for "Date Night," reports Variety. Shawn Levy will direct based on a script by Josh Klausner. 20th Century Fox will direct the eventual film, which will be shot during the TV season hiatus next year.

The comedy will tell of a married couple who plans for a night of dinner and a movie but things go terribly wrong.
