It was recently announced that Martin Campbell "Casino Royale" had been hired to direct Warner Bros.' adaptation of the DC comic book "Green Lantern" for the big screen but the lead role has yet to be cast.

Latino Review (http://www.latinoreview.com) reports that Ryan Gosling, Sam Worthington and Emile Hirsch have all passed on the part or are unavailable. So the producers are now focusing their efforts on Anton Yelchin. Yelchin will appear in WB's "Terminator Salvation" this summer as Kyle Reese and is reportedly the leading candidate to play the superhero.

The latest draft of the script was written by Greg Berlanti along with Marc Guggenheim and Michael Green.
