Christina Aguilera will make her acting debut in "Burlesque," a musical to be directed by Steven Antin. Variety reports that the film is based on a screenplay by Susannah Grant.

Aguilera will play a smalltown girl with a big voice. She finds herself in Los Angeles trying to make it as a star and finds herself at a burlesque club.

Donald De Line will produce. Pic will shoot late this year.
