MGM has tapped Mike Mitchell to direct "Once Upon a Time," a fantasy adventure film that will play with fantasy conventions similiar to "Shrek" and "Enchanted." The Hollywood Reporter reports that the script was written by Charles Vignola,  Kevin Marcus and Bradley Marcus.

Mitchell will be directing the fourth "Shrek" film titled "Shrek Forever After."
