Juan Carlos Fresnadillo ("28 Weeks Later") is in talks to helm the "Bioshock" movie, according to Variety. Universal Pictures owns the distribution film rights to the Take Two video game adaptation.
Fresnadillo takes over from Gore Verbinski ("Pirates of the Caribbean"), who left the project earlier this year as director but still remains on board as a producer. John Logan ("Gladiator") penned the screenplay.
"Bioshock" is available on the XBOX 360 and PS3 platforms and tells a fantasy story well the player enters the lost underwater city of Rapture where its residents were left to do crazy, mad experiments on each other.
